Strawberry Farm, Tea Plantation, Bee Maze

… and the quest for The Ramly Burger.

No, this is just a random picture which I think is really cute!

Following the ridiculously filling dinner, we headed back to our apartment for some chillout time with card games, the television, and smatterings of “do you think the ramly burger stall is open now?” and “do you think the ramly burger stall is open still?”. YK repeatedly went out to the balcony to peer longingly at the burger stall some way down the road. As a result of that, his mum prepared more desserts for the lot of us as she thought we weren’t full from the Smokehouse dinner. -_-”

Our next day was a flurry of activities.

First up was another strawberry farm!

It was so narrow that people had to flatten themselves against the sides when cars passed through.

All things strawberries.

Mischief one: quietly plucking grapes to eat.

Mischief two:

Me: I wonder what will happen when you squeeze the leaf of a fat cactus. Will they burst or spurt some sap out ?
EK [immediately]: Let’s see. *pressed hard against the leaf*

*leaf broke*

Pause.

Me: Erm.
EK: Err.

Here was where I had wanted to get the pot of pretty pink-purple flowers [not shown in picture].

The guys bought, like, 23972 honey melons after trying out some at a roadside stall. “For tonight’s after-dinner food. Aside from ramly burgers of course,” one said.

Next up: tea plantation.

The perilous climb uphill where the swimmer WK said incredulously, “wah, it’s really tiring [to climb]!”

It’s tea-time!

Mischief three: the guys advanced carefully towards EK only to push him into…

.. taking picture with this.

It was a slow, leisurely enjoyment at the tea plantation with cakes, scones and tea with the cool wind blowing into the cafe and an awesome view to boot.

Before I went downhill, I caught sight of a friend – someone from my previous workplace! Girls being girls, we quickly took a picture together with her camera. What were the chances, right?

Location three: Bee farm and the maze.

It started to drizzle when we reached the bee farm, so we canned the visitation of the farm but got ourselves a maze to play in.

It was a hilarious experience. We split into two groups to compete reaching the exit first.

I took a step into the maze, then realised I was in trouble. The maze was claustrophobic. Claustrophobic places = me having panic attacks. Brrr. Thank goodness for the laughter and mischief of the guys which distracted me.

Mischief four:

You know that part where you enter a place with five to seven doors / curtains and you have to choose which one to go through, ie; the matrix? We went passed one, two, three curtains only to keep returning to the same place, disoriented. Deja visite land. Ha ha.

Upon our third time in the circle of choices, one of the curtains was tied into a knot by the other group. The boys and I hurried down another path in determination. Seconds later, someone suggested that we untie the knot to confuse the other group and boyfie and YK obediently turned back to do so. To my astonishment, the other two guys in front of me quickly and cheekily decided to abandon the former two, and ran down the twists and turns of the maze.

And guess what I did without thinking???

I FOLLOWED THEM IN A RUN WTF.

There had to be karma at work because the two guys reached a deadend and I ran back into another path only to crash into YK [who didn't know we abandoned him]. Shortly after, boyfie joined us [also not knowing that we abandoned him]. EK and EE, The Abandoners, did not see them behind me and laughed out loud to themselves, “hee hee, we have lost YK!” only to hear a indignant YK exclaiming, “I’m right here!”

*laugh til faint*

We reached FIRST. *victory sign*

Waited a century for the other group to complete the maze.

Fourth location: Kea farm.

It was almost six when we arrived at the Kea farm, almost time for our steamboat dinner back in the apartment. Instead of conserving our stomachs for steamboat, we bought food to eat.

Corn.

Yam.

Fried bananas.

Fried mushrooms.

Fried squids.

More fried stuff.

An avalanche of food descended upon us.

No ramly burgers which we kept a lookout for.

Then we returned to the apartment for the steamboat dinner.

Hi, my sister recommended this blog. I like what I see so far, but I will have to check back a few more times before I put it in my daily bloglist.
