One weekend, Hina, Ahdai and I packed up to head to Batam for some R&R. It was supposed to be one with more peeps but they were either busy with work or classes. 
Things were rather rushy and messy at the ferry terminal and I was fretting over our possibly missing the ferry when Ahdai quipped, “Don’t worry, when you see Last Call over there and we are all still standing here, that’s when you should start worrying.” Laughs.
Ours is the Penguin 7 ferry, which never did appear.
Instead, another Penguin arrived to pick us up. We were all starving by then. Boo..
Hina ds-lited while Ahdai and I caught some winks. We were too sleepy and hungry after all the wait for the penguin.
We reached Batam after an hour’s ride [wheeee!] and a maxicab-like van picked us up to go to our hotel. We, being xtomicers, naturally did some camwhoring at the back of the van.

Our hotel is Novotel Hotel, a very nice quiet place with good service. We paid only SGD63 for the ferry, a one night’s stay at the hotel, with breakfast buffet included, as well as two-way shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal. Everything for 63 bucks! Is that cheap or what! Or are we still ripped off?

but of cos, having relatives in Indonesia does levy some of the expenditure..teehee!

Wow, Batam! I went there for 3 days (cable ski-ing) and paid less than $60, cos I stayed at the cable ski park (in a tent)! =))))) I wish I could go soon, but my passport is dead.
