While We Were Sleeping

20th May 2004 – 3.16pm Melbourne time

The hotel screwed up our check-in time so all of us had to wait until 2pm to get our apartments. 13 hours of waiting since the plane touched down in Melbourne and we were all dead tired.

The Paramount Service Apartments.

Dee and Glen’s apartment key was the first to be issued out and all of us piled in to catch some sleep. “Can I sleep with you on the couch?” Iv-bro teased me suggestively, much to the amusement of the rest. “Ok, ok, can I share half the couch with you, bai?” he changed his tune, begging an unrelenting me.

Ta-pauing Glen the man. This looks so gay.

Having roamed the streets with Iv-bro before we got our apartment key, I noticed something about trees in the city. There seemed to be only 1 kind of tree growing in Melbourne city – Maple trees! Iv-bro watched on in amusement as I skipped along the asphalt, picking up some maple leaves for keeping. The blustery winds blew, causing fallen maple leaves to dance and swirl around in the grey streets and I was enchanted.
