Walk Into The Light

21st May 2004 – 7.10pm Melbourne time

Spent the first half of the day just walking and walking and walking. I love the buildings in Melb, they are just so unique. One won’t see much of that in Sg. Or maybe I don’t look hard enough.

A church near The Paramount.

I like this shot, it seems like the building is looming over me. Too bad the photo wasn’t taken properly.

This is Melbourne’s state library, a pity I did not get to enter it. See that guy lying right in front of the library? I would like to do that – I like that kind of life – but do that in Sg and I will either melt under the scorching sun or get arrested for urm disturbing the peace. Or something.

Iv-bro was my photo partner.

The lot of us headed to Queen Victoria’s Market and bought a hell lot of food [no, seriously. It was a lot of food - 11 people's dinner for 4 nights. I felt sick just looking at the chunks of raw meat.] We chanced upon Jo and her gang after grocery shopping and we settled down for a lazy chat right in the middle of Queen Vic’s Market.

Melb seemed invaded by us business students. Little wonder some Aussies dislike Asian peeps.

Contacted Jules and Dumbo, who were both studying in Melb, and made plans to meet up with them. Sweet Jules offered to bring me out to eat Australia’s best gelato even though her exams were drawing near. And poor Dumbo, she broke her toe while cycling. Not a funny thing but it was funny when she recounted the incident. *laughs* Things like that always happen to her, why?

He contacted me to share good news about his results. I was really happy and proud of him.
